Alice’s Tea Party. The Fitzgerald Museum, 919 Felder Ave., held an Alice in Wonderland tea the day before Mother’s Day 2026, with tea, light bites, a meet-and-greet with Alice, face painting, a photo booth and a handmade gift for children to make.

Last year the celebration stretched into mid-May with A Fine and Dandy Affair at Blount Cultural Park on May 16, part of the Road to ESSENCE Festival, and the Broadway musical Chicago at the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre on May 13.
Gifts and markets
The Montgomery Curb Market, 1004 Madison Ave., is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 5:30 a.m. all year; see farmers markets. The Saturday farmers market at The Shoppes at EastChase ran May to mid-September in 2026.
