Seven Montgomery teams are in the AHSAA football playoffs, which start Friday, Nov. 6, the association said when it announced the first-round pairings Oct. 31. Montgomery Academy finished the regular season 10-0 with a 42-0 win over St. Anne-Pacelli and opens at home against Providence Christian. Carver closed with a 48-14 win over Enterprise on Oct. 29 and hosts Robertsdale in the expanded 6A bracket.

The AHSAA’s article says first-round games begin Friday, Nov. 6, but its 6A list is headed “Round 1 (Nov. 9)” and “Round 2 (Nov. 16).” This year 6A has a 24-team field with eight first-round byes, including Prattville, about 13 miles northwest, and Central-Phenix City. Confirm the Carver and JAG dates with the schools or the 6A bracket, which the AHSAA links.
