Dixie Electric Cooperative

Dixie Electric’s automated outage line, 1-800-239-1367, takes many calls at once so you avoid a busy signal; it identifies you by caller ID and lets you leave details. Crews are on standby around the clock. Its outage map shows current outages.

Before calling, the co-op asks members to:

  1. Check the breakers; if one is off, turn it on. If it trips again, call an electrician.
  2. Check whether neighbors have lost power too.
  3. Then report the outage.

When the power goes out

  1. Check the map for your utility. If your area is shown, crews know about it.
  2. Report it if it is not shown, or if your neighbors have power and you do not.
