Downtown, Lorraine’s Bake Shop on Dexter Avenue pairs ice cream with fresh-baked sweets, and Nothing Bundt Cakes and Krispy Kreme cover cakes and doughnuts at Eastchase and on Atlanta Highway.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Montgomery’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 17, 2026. We added Bruster’s, Kraze Frozen Treats, Lorraine’s Bake Shop and Nothing Bundt Cakes from their own sites. We left out dessert shops we could not find a website for, and chains whose store locator would not show us a Montgomery address. The list is alphabetical. The places

Bruster’s Real Ice Cream has two Montgomery stores on its site: the Vaughn Road shop and a second store on Chantilly Parkway that the chain lists as its Montgomery Satellite.

Kraze Frozen Treats on Vaughn Road is a self-serve shop. Its site says customers fill a cup from more than 50 flavors of frozen yogurt, ice cream, gelato, custard, sorbet and Italian ice, then add from more than 80 toppings, and sit down to eat.

Krispy Kreme has one Montgomery doughnut shop, on Atlanta Highway, with a drive-thru that closes 15 minutes before the shop, according to its page.

Lorraine’s Bake Shop is a small-batch bake shop on historic Dexter Avenue. Its site says it bakes sweets from scratch in house and serves coffee, espresso, ice cream and milkshakes, with cinnamon rolls midweek and custom cakes to order.

Nothing Bundt Cakes is the bundt cake bakery chain, at Eastchase. Its page lists full-size, personal and mini bundt cakes, including gluten-free cakes, and posts delivery hours.
