How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Montgomery’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 17, 2026. We added Full Moon BBQ, Moe’s Original BBQ and Shane’s Rib Shack from their own location pages. We left out a Dreamland listed on Vaughn Road, because Dreamland’s own site lists only its downtown restaurant in Montgomery, and barbecue stands we could not find a website for. The places

5 Points Deli & Grill is a lunch spot on East Fairview Avenue. Its site lists barbecue, hamburgers, salads and sandwiches, with online ordering for carryout.

Dreamland BBQ is the Montgomery restaurant of the Alabama barbecue chain, downtown at West Jefferson and North Court streets. Its page describes ribs and other hickory-smoked meats with Southern sides and desserts, and offers dine-in, curbside pickup, carryout and catering.

Full Moon BBQ is in the Eastchase shopping center next to Target. Its page says its barbecue is cooked slowly over a hickory wood-fired pit and served with Southern sides.

Moe’s Original BBQ is an Alabama-style barbecue restaurant in Old Cloverdale. Its page lists pulled pork, smoked chicken, turkey, St. Louis-style ribs and smoked wings with Alabama white sauce, and says it has indoor dining, a full bar and outdoor patio seating.

Shane’s Rib Shack on Atlanta Highway is a barbecue chain location. Its page lists baby back ribs, barbecue pork and chopped chicken plates with two sides and Texas toast, plus wings, burgers and family meals, for dine-in or takeout.
